About Camp Goodtimes

At the Canadian Cancer Society, we understand that cancer can change a lot of things. But at Camp Goodtimes, kids can have fun, accomplish their goals and thrive among peers who understand. Our summer camps are designed to foster independence, increase confidence and create an environment of understanding and support. Because we champion an inclusive and supportive community, we strive to tailor our programs for all abilities and have medical supervision on site whenever possible.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, all Camp Goodtimes programs are offered at no cost to participating families.

Camp Goodtimes is part of the Children’s Oncology Camping Association, International and is an accredited camp of the Camping Association of New Brunswick, the Canadian Camping Association and the Canadian Association of Pediatric Oncology Camps.

Our history

Since 1988, Camp Goodtimes has been a summer haven for New Brunswick children and youth who have been diagnosed with cancer. It brings them together for a week of fun, adventure and friendships in a safe, medically-supervised environment.

Since its beginning, Camp Goodtimes has grown from assisting just a few children in its first year, to providing a fun and supportive camping experience for nearly 60 children and teens each summer.

The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) is proud to be a champion and voice for Canadians who care about cancer. We are committed to supporting and engaging people in communities across the country to prove that life is bigger than cancer. CCS is proud to be able to and continue to provide summers of joy, confidence, support, and hope for children and families impacted by the disease.
