Training & Development - Deadline: Sunday, June 17th
According to the BC Camping Association and the Canadian Association of Pediatric Oncology Camps (CAPOC), all camp volunteers are required to complete 32 hours of training in specific areas prior to attending camp each year.
Our Camp Goodtimes Training & Development program is designed with both on-site and online components so all volunteers receive the same level of training and development necessary to support Camp Goodtimes participants.
STEP 1: Read our Volunteer Training Manual - Available in May
STEP 2: Complete an Online Training & Development Exercise - Available in May
STEP 3: Review the information sheets & additional resources (below)
STEP 4: Attend the Volunteer Training Weekend, which occurs the first weekend of June at Loon Lake.
Additional training is provided on the first day of camp before the participants arrive.
