Camp Nanny

A Camp Nanny is responsible for the safety, hygiene and entertainment of the medical staff children while the medical staff is on duty. The number of children will range from 1 to 5 all being under the age of 6. When not taking care of the assigned children, the Nanny will take on an APIC role to assist where camps needs are the highest.

Responsibilities

  • Be aware of assigned participants safety, hygiene and entertainment while parents are on-duty
  • Assist the program team and activity supervisors at various activities
  • Provide and/or implement behaviours strategies in participants
  • Provides a written evaluation (Camper TAG) for each assigned camper and recommendations based on findings to the Coordinator, Programs and Support
  • Serves as a resource for camp staff that directly affects the safety, welfare, wellness and of the assigned participants
  • Serve on the staff team, working to create a healthy camp environment to bring positive changes in behaviours, attitudes, and values
  • Responds to general participant inquiries
  • While not working as a nanny, other duties will be assigned
