Lois Youngson Award

The Canadian Cancer Society’s Camp Goodtimes began in 1985 when bereaved parent and first founder, Lois Youngson, brought volunteers and BC Children’s Hospital nurses and doctors together to provide a camp experience for 25 children.

That one week of camp has grown into seven summer sessions that serve over 600 participants at our Kids’ Camps, Teen Program, Family Program and Leader in Training (LIT) Program. The Lois Youngson Award was created in 2008 to honour Lois and continue her legacy.
